Today was a monumental for Tidal Transit!
$10 million dollars in funding was awarded to the organization on behalf of the Government of Canada ($8M) and the Province of Nova Scotia ($2M) to support the purchase of six new buses through the Rural Transit Solution Fund.
A very special thank you to our Member of Parliament, Kody Blois and Nova Scotia Finance Minister, John Lohr, for their tireless work advocating for and investing in rural communities. Our chair, Kings County Mayor Dave Corkum, provided warm remarks on behalf of the Valley Regional Services board following the announcement.
